I'm Feelin'...: cheerful
Well, I was almost right! Heather Cox and David Radford were kicked off, and Kinnik and Melissa were in the bottom three. But I was very suprised(But not unhappy) to see Brenna and Sway voted off. I know theyre performances werent that great, but I thought they were more popular than that. Oh well, no big loss. I was also very suprised that Bucky wasnt voted off. I mean, he had to be the worst male vocals. I was sorry to see David go, but I knew it was coming. Its just not the right time for a crooner right now, hopefully he'll still be successful though. I think this is going to be the last week for our buddy Kevin. hes had a good run, and I think hes awesome, but his voice doesnt compare to some, and he just doesnt have the look or the charisma. But we'll see, hopefully Im proven wrong.

Everything is great with me now, in case you were wondering! Ive talked things out with the friend I was arguing with, and I think its even made us stronger. I didnt realize she meant so much to me, I guess its true that you dont realize how much something means until its gone. Later

Mar. 2nd, 2006 @ 12:20 pm Idol Updates
OK, the only guys I like on the show anymore David, Kevin, Taylor, and Will. Every other guy just comes across as an overconfident jerk. But my picks for the girls are definately Katharine and Kellie.

The only performers I thought standed out this week were Kevin and Kellie. They had exactly the right song choice, and sang them awesomely.

My predictions for who will get voted off!

Girls:
Heather Cox,
then either Kinnik Sky or Melissa McGhee

Guys:
Buck Covington
then either Will Makar or David Radford

Eesh. I really like David and Will, but unfortunately thier performances just werent that great this week.

Btw, I hate Chris and I hate Brenna. Brenna is WAY too overconfident, and she is definately a snob. I dont know if any of you noticed, but on tues when Mendisa was performing, you could see her on the balcony giving her a dirty look! Not cool. Mendisa is very talented, but im afraid she will get voted off just because of her weight. I wish Brenna would get voted off, but this week, I dont see it happening.

Chris... Chris just annoys me. I know he's a good singer, but I dont think he should be in this competition. He and Ace are the guys that every girl is going to vote for, just because they think they're hot. Besides, this is supposed to be a competition for amateur singers. Chris has been with his band and singing in places for years, and already sounds like a professional. I dont think its fair to all the kids who are at more of an equal level. If he wins, im not sure I'll watch next year!

Feb. 22nd, 2006 @ 05:31 pm I Pick Pickler! (and life in general)
I'm Feelin'...: depressed
Yea, so im not much of a blogger. You all knew that! But now that American Idol is getting interesting, expect me to post at least once a week. So, I'll start with the good and end with the bad. Kellie Pickler. Oh my God. She is the American Idol, hands down! She can sing better than any of the contestants in this competition. Not only that, but she is beautiful, and she has the rags to riches story to go with it. She really deserves this, and my opinion wont change on that. There is also a girl named Lisa...something. Shes pretty good too, I was happy last week when the judges gave her a break, because she had a cold and her voice wasnt as good as it should have been at the time. Then there's Taylor....something. lol, I can only remember half names today. He can really sing it to, but hes very strange, lol, so unfortunately I dont think he has a chance. There are a couple of Sinatras who really have some talent, but unfortunately, crooners have no place in a pop competition. So, the Brittenem Twins. I could not even believe that! They were pulled from the competition because it was found out that they had warrants for forgery in two states! Among other crimes. Wow. I never really thought they would make it all the way, but they had a good attitude and were very personable. Oh well, that goes to show you cant judge a book by its cover. So Pickler all the way.

So AAHA is finally up and running again! Not that it was ever shut down, but it just hasnt seemed like its old self until recently. Now that we have a new layout and the Forums back, it will once again be the place to be. Now we just need to get the newsletter going again! *cough* As far as Solo's Solutions goes, I recieved possibly the most intertesting and awesome question I have ever gotten while we were on hiatus, and Im going to be reposting that in the forums in the coming days. It was a real head scratcher, but it really adds new depth to the films when your watching Eps III & VI. Lucas really knew what he was doing! Hopefully now with the forums back, I'll be able to finally post the entirety of my Fanfiction. i was never able to post the whole thing on our last forums, hopefully I'll get to finish it this time before our forums die on us. :P

*Sigh* So, my online and television life have been going great, but my real life...not so well. i was scammed again, but not by ebay this time. this time was a real life situation. I have been looking for a car recently. But with my job at Arbys, it has been hard to save up enough, and hey never want to let me wok exta, and a aise is ou of the question. Im stuck at Arbys because i dont have a car, and I dont have a car because Im stuck at Arbys! Its a vicious circle. So, I hogh I had finally cagh a beak when m sisters BEST FRIEND offered me her "gently used" LeBaron Convertible. I went and checked it out, and it drove smoothly, and the engine sounded perfect. The only problem she said was the power steering, and she said I would just have to keep the fluid filled. Well I was very happy with it, so when she asked me for a $500 dollar advance (she wanted $850) I wasnt at all hesitant. Hey, its my sisters best friend Right? Wrong. We decided to take precaution and take it to one of my brothers friends who is an honest mechanic, and we found out that there was $28,000 dollars worth of damages that needed repairs! Well that was upsetting enough, but now this stupid idiot is refusing to give me neither the cr, or my downpayment! Seriously! My sister and her have had several fights, but none of it does anygood. We got some legal advice from a friend of the family, and she suspects that there is nothing we can do about it because the car was not actually in the girls name, it was in her grandfathers, and he didnt do anything. Its not over yet, Im still going to take this to small claims court, but its just not fair. How can some people be so dishonest? It doesnt make any sense to me.

Im also having some major issues with a really good friend of mine. We have known each other for three years and have never had one single argunment, but now everything is going to hell. Its mostly a bunch of he said she said crap, but its really taking its toll on me. sometimes I feel sick when I think we might not be friends anymore. I dont feel like going into the messy details (at least not now), but please just keep me in your thoughts!

Well you got a long post to make up for all that missed time. I really will try to blog more often. Love you guys!

I'm Feelin'...: annoyed
infuriating. Whenever my parents are out of town, she uses it as an excuse to blow off all of her chores, so she can hang out with her girlfriend, Niki. All day long, Niki, Niki, Niki. And that means I have to do them or else I'll be in trouble for not making her do them. Like you can really make anyone do anything. Bleh. My parents are wierd.

Anyways...EPISODE III DVD! Wow, I love it. It kinds makes you sad though, because now it's really...over. No more movies. No more lineups. No more spoilers. No more speculation. Not that I want there to be more movies. No Star Wars is definately finished, I'll just miss it. At least we'll have the show to look forward to in a couple of years. So the DVD was good, but for some reason it didn't seem as though there were as many special features as usual. The hip hop Yoda short was very lame, they should have stuck with the blooper reel.

American Idol is coming back soon! I can't wait. Last year was the only year that the person I liked won, so I have new faith in the show, lol. I'll probably be putting my thoughts about it here after it starts, although I'm not exactly sure on the date.

Oh yea, My Han Solo fanfiction "Illusions of the Past" is being reposted on the AAHA forums. I never got to post the whole thing last time (because it got erased with the forums) so I'm starting fresh. There have been some changes made too, to account for Episode III, so I hope you'll check it out. Check my content for a link. See ya

Geez, that song is stuck in my head. Well, Griss called me kiddo, so I guess I have to post. Sorry I havent been around for...WHOA 3 MONTHS?! That is a long time. Things have been kinda crazy around here, If you wanna know more about that, head over to The AAHA forums Prayer thread.

In Other News.....
Episode Three is Coming!!!!! And I am pumped!!! Granted, It'll be great, because I'll be with Jedis Jen and Jaina in beautiful Ontario California. Im getting a Jedi Costume and a Red and a Blue Lightsaber, so I guess I'm all set. I was looking for a Han Solo costume, but nobody makes one, and all the Chewbacca and Vader costumes are all cheap looking, so Jedi here I come. The theatre we're seeing it in is supposed to hold like 700 something people, and we're going to wait out in line and go to the first showing at 12:00, so yea. AWEMAZING! I so can't wait. I've got my flight and hotel booked with Orbitz. They have the best prices I've seen on any of the other web travel sites, so if you go on a trip I reccomend using them.

Trying a new Layout and a new banner. Let me know what you think!

HAVE A HAPPY EASTER!

Dec. 22nd, 2004 @ 11:49 pm Christmastime
Whoa! I can't believe its been almost a month since I last posted. And I am also having a hard time believing that its christmas again. It seems like last years christmas specials were just on TV, and here they are on TV again. Crazy! Well, I've finally gotten back on my feet after the bank ordeal, and have just finished my christmas shopping. I was worried for a while that I wouldn't have enough money, but I just barely made it :D

Here's some irony for you. I worked my butt off at work for six months trying to get a promotion, until I finally realized it was no good and just gave up. So for the past two months I havent been working extra hard or anything, but now they think Im doing better than when I actually was trying to get promoted(??). Yea, my manager is a wacko. Oh well, at least I am finally getting what I deserved a long time ago.

Ebay, ebay, ebay. PLEASE remind me not to use it anymore! As if the last time wasn't bad enough, I had to go and use it again. My mom has wanted a certain movie on VHS for over a year, but it isn't made in the U.S. Well I just assumed it wasnt manufactured anywhere, until I ran across it on Ebay. The seller was from Australlia, and I won the movie for $50.00. Well, stupid me forgot to write it in my bank register which caused my former bank problem (amounting to $200.00 in debts altogether). Well when I finally get the movie which seems to be in very good condition, I pop it in my VCR to test it and all I get is a staticy black screen and barely audible sound. Needless to say I was VERY upset. well I get online later and I find out that there are different "Formats" of videos/vcr's around the world (meaning a video from one country may not work in a VCR from another country.) after finding this out I was even more angry because I had got taken again by Ebay. Well after searching for a while I came across a company online that does "video conversions". It is one of the few companies that has a reformatting machine to change a video tape from a foreign format to the american format. altogether this cost me $29.00. Lets add all this up now....

50.00
200.00
29.00
---------
$279.00!!

Yea, mom better really appreciate this! ;) A bit of advice to all you Ebayers...never buy from overseas unless you know what you are doing!

There have been some new additions to Scruffiness since my last blog, all of which can be found through the content link to the left. Enjoy and remember there will be more in the future. Oh and I need your guys opinion...my sister has recently been showing an interest in Star Wars, yet Im not sure I want to let her know about AAHA, as I kind of like having to myself if you know what I mean. What da you think? Leave a comment and let me know

Well thats all for now. I hope you all have happy holidays celebrating Christmas, Hanahkuh, Qwanza, Festivus, or whatever you believe in. Happy 2005! (You know what that means. 5 months til EIII!)

IT'S A FESTIVUS MIRACLE!!!

Hey Guys! This week has been kinda average...nothing really out of the ordinary. Unless of course you count the fact that Dex and I have finally opened our site! Yea, theres not much content right now, but we re working tirelessly to add several different sections, and you can look for various contests in the future, along with the latest Han, Leia, and OT news! Oh yea, Im wanting to dress as Han Solo for the movie, but having a hard time putting the costume together. Please keep an eye out for possible Han pants and shirts, and email me if you find any!

Nov. 12th, 2004 @ 10:52 pm Crazy Week
Hey guys, man I've had such a busy week. Work is driving me carazy.....Im there practically all the time and I work my butt off yet they want to promote someone else, when I work harder than they do! Stupid Arbys...Actually I think its a sexist thing because I'm the only guy working there. Im thinking of quitting and going to work with my Bro at Petco, but I can't do that until I get another Car. Thats right, my car broke down. This week just gets better and better. The thing has a million and one problems and it would be way expensive to fix, so Im better off to just get a new one.

I also had a huge problem with Ebay. I bid on something for $50.00, but once I won it I found out that the seller is in Italy and what he meant was 50 Euros. So I looked up what 50 Euros is in U.S. Dollars and it came to $93.00! Thats not including the $50.00 shipping....thank God the seller let me off, I would've been totally messed up for Christmas.

On a better note, Dex and I are starting a web site! That's right, "Leia and her Scoundrel" is what we're calling it, and it'll be like a OT Version of AAHA. We talked to Jen about it and we are going to be partner sites so that AAHA can focus on the Prequels and we can focus on the OT. November 21st is the set date, mark your calendars!
